Duties
* You will analyze complex aircraft electronic, electrical, and engine systems to determine if they can be tested and repaired using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
* You will develop technical specifications, requirements (Statement of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists), and planning documents for TPS acquisition
* You will evaluate contractor proposals for technical feasibility, cost, and risk.
* You will oversee the contractor's design and development process, participates in design reviews, resolves technical issues, and ensures the project meets its objectives.
* You will participate in the formal acceptance testing of the final TPS hardware and software to verify that all contract requirements have been met. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA). Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Planning, coordinating and participating actively as the technical expert for complex engine support equipment projects;
2) Providing expertise in the design, development, and integration of software systems (e.g. compilers, run time systems, instrument interfaces/drivers, support tools) for Automatic Test Systems (ATS), especially related to the CASS Family of Testers (FoT) and related Engine Test Program Sets (TPSs)
3) Managing, prioritizing and accomplishing program tasks on time and within budget;
4) Generating/approving deviations from standard design and operating procedures and reviewing, evaluating and providing recommendations to all proposed modifications to the existing system for overall improvements, reliability and operational safety;
5) Developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes; and
6) Generating acquisition strategy planning for determination of future support equipment requirements. Education Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics;
