Position: COMPUTER ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will serve as the lead for managing large-scale, complex software support efforts for Support Equipment (SE) end items, ensuring software robustness, safety, quality, and performance.
* You will provide leadership and technical expertise for all software engineering functions, including cybersecurity compliance, software testing, configuration management, and lab support.
* You will review test reports, evaluate research findings, and assess technical progress to support the development of new software support processes and tools.
* You will evaluate the development and design work of organic software teams and external contractors to ensure alignment with program goals and requirements.
* You will identify, develop, and enhance SSA processes and ensure all team members are trained in their use.
* You will generate requirements, perform feasibility assessments, and participate in all System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).
* You will oversee the design, development, and management of lab space and equipment for both classified and unclassified processing activities.
* You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior personnel and team members to foster a culture of technical excellence. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DP-04/GS-12-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional COMPUTER ENGINEER performing some or all of the following duties:
1) Demonstrating technical expertise in software engineering processes, software testing, software configuration management, technical documentation, and developing specifications and contract work statements;
2) Providing oversight direction, management, and coordination of a significant technical effort;
3) Mentoring and guiding junior personnel and other team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement;
