Accounts Receivable Specialist (Lakeland, FL)

  • Full‑time day shift (Mon–Fri, No weekends)
  • Day‑one benefits:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Answer incoming AR phone calls and respond to emails daily
  • Process invoices and returns
  • Apply customer payments
  • Research and solve billing and payment discrepancies
  • Process credit card payments and credits
  • Make adjustments to accounts as needed
  • Prepare deposits
  • Balance reports to general ledger daily
EDUCATION
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent with at least two years related experience
  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Able to multi‑task and pay attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Works well in a team environment
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • None
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Use of computer and phone – must be able to see, type, write, finger, grasp, and sit; must be able to use a mobile phone
  • Communicate with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend
  • Mobility of arms – must be able to reach and use arms to manipulate small objects
  • Move inside office to access filing cabinets, office machines, and supplies – must be able to move about the office, stand for extended periods, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
