Publix is seeking a General Liability Claims Assistant to support our Risk Management team at our corporate office in Lakeland, Florida. - Process incoming demand packages, including scanning media and verifying files for security
- Route claim materials appropriately and upload documentation for review
- Assist with preparation of initial drafts of non‑litigated settlement documents
- Support managers and supervisors with ad hoc projects, data corrections, and reporting needs
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation within internal systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external partners
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- At least 1 year of general office or administrative experience
- Additional education or trade school training
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and document management systems
- Experience supporting a claims or legal office environment

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if the associate remains employed through the issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
