Business Office Manager

Facility: Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation
Location: Lakeland, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Salary: $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience

Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly organized and experienced Business Office Manager to oversee the facility's administrative and financial office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Administrator and facility leadership.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Administrator's office and facility departments.

  • Oversee business office functions, including filing, record management, account processing, and administrative tasks.

  • Coordinate meetings with residents' families, outside agencies, and third-party payors.

  • Serve as the facility's Workers' Compensation Coordinator.

  • Represent the Business Office at Medicare and reimbursement meetings.

  • Coordinate with corporate teams regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

  • Manage and distribute Resident Personal Needs Allowance (PNA) funds.

  • Conduct weekly bank runs and maintain accurate financial documentation.

  • Provide front desk support and assist residents, families, and visitors as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a billing, business office, or supervisory role within a skilled nursing facility.

  • Knowledge of long-term care billing, Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement processes
    .

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience working with third-party payors preferred.
