JOB SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for driving global revenue and margin growth within their assigned product category, ensuring innovative and competitive offerings. They act as the business's subject matter expert, leveraging market insights and trends to optimize product lines and strategies. This role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver category excellence and achieve business objectives.

The Product Manager is responsible to create and drive the strategy and execution within their category, in collaboration with key stakeholders in the business.

Duties & Responsibilities Category Strategy Development
  • Develop and execute category strategies to achieve business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and guide product innovation.
Customer Engagement
  • Multiple weekly customer visits to promote the category offerings expected, driving pipeline and sales growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their challenges and providing tailored solutions through category expertise.
  • Partner with sales teams to deliver compelling value propositions and support our key customer accounts.
Product Portfolio Management
  • Lead the product lifecycle, including innovation, optimization, and rationalization of food ingredient offerings.
  • Ensure the portfolio is aligned with customer demands, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Lead the Extracts and Essences team.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with R&D, marketing, supply chain, and procurement teams to bring new products to market and ensure supply continuity.
  • Lead category performance reviews and share insights with internal stakeholders to drive decision‑making.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for the category to ensure clarity and consistent approach within the company for the portfolio including identifying gaps in the portfolio and instigating initiatives to fill those gaps.
  • Provide education opportunities regarding the portfolio to ensure product awareness (existing and new products) through collation of existing knowledge as well as provision of new information.
Performance Tracking
  • Monitor category performance metrics, including revenue, margin, and market share, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying learnings from customer feedback and market analysis.
Overall
  • Act in the best interest of Treatt PLC at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned and customary.

  • Great interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to lead, manage, motivate and influence teams and colleagues.
  • Curiosity, drive and determination to launch initiatives and make continuous improvements in all aspects of the portfolio.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex issues in clear, concise, persuasive language both verbally and in writing.
  • An ownership mentality with the aptitude to work independently as required.
  • The capability to organize and prioritize with a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience in data collection, extraction and analysis with strong analytical, problem‑solving and research skills.
  • Ability to find creative and positive ways to get the right people together who can make true differences in all aspects of the category. Able to influence in a matrix organization.
Education & Experience
  • University degree in business management, a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in our industry, in a commercial, technical or production role.
  • Ideally at least 2 years’ experience in a product/category management role.
