Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience
, extensive field knowledge, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive bids for residential and commercial projects. This individual should be proficient with construction estimating software and have hands‑on knowledge of siding, stucco, trim, soffit, and fascia installation to ensure projects are estimated accurately and materials are procured efficiently.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates from blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for siding, stucco, trim, soffit, fascia, and related exterior finish materials.
- Utilize construction estimating software to prepare bids and maintain estimating records.
- Manage material procurement by obtaining supplier quotes, purchasing materials, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Review project scopes to identify potential cost savings and estimating risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and clients during preconstruction and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Visit job sites as needed to verify existing conditions and support project planning.
- Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience
. - Proficiency with construction estimating software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Strong field knowledge of siding, stucco, trim, soffit, and fascia installation.
- Ability to identify proper installation methods and recognize incorrect workmanship.
- Experience with material procurement, purchasing, vendor negotiations, and inventory coordination.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, labor production rates, and project costing.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
We are looking for a knowledgeable professional who can combine estimating expertise, field experience, and procurement management to help ensure projects are accurately bid, properly supplied, and successfully completed.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
