Position: Customer Service Representative / Receptionist

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative, at our Lakeland, FL manufacturing plant.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers while performing receptionist duties for our front office.

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative may include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers regarding new orders, revisions, or cancellations via phone or email.
  • Input and verify orders, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain customer information records.
  • Attend daily production/shipping meetings, providing status updates.
  • Monitor credit release orders and notify corporate credit when necessary.
  • Process adjustments/credits, debits and returns.
  • Research charge backs. Credit, debit or collect as needed.
  • Coordinate between manufacturing and customers to resolve order issues
  • Scan orders and attach delivery notes in SAP.
  • Answer phone calls, greet visitors and respond to customer inquiries

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in an office environment supporting internal and external customers
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
