Our facility is licensed for 910 beds and handles over 200,000 emergency room visits annually, along with 49,000 inpatient admissions, 21,000 surgical cases, 4,000 births, and 101,000 outpatient visits.
This is an in-person role. The physician will review appropriate patients that might be candidates for Hospital at Home services, participate in morning huddles, and may at times perform home visits. Patients are usually within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Position SummaryResponsible to the Medical Director/Co-Leader in the Ambulatory environment. The Physician has responsibility for the care of assigned patients within LRH, and for the care and treatment of patients seen in consultation with other Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) clinical departments. As a medical provider, the Physician works with the Medical Staff Co-Leader and other members of the treatment team in the development of clinical programs.

- Serves as a clinical supervisor for other clinicians as assigned.
- Strives to develop clinical patient care opportunities apart from the inpatient mental health unit that meet the care needs of the Lakeland area and are in keeping with the Mission of the hospital (e.g., outpatient treatment, involvement with care of patients in chemical dependency treatment programs, development of new treatment programs, provision of clinical or consultation services to other organizations).
- Provides quality clinical care to assigned patients admitted to the various treatment programs and ensures care is in keeping with LRH bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- Carries out job duties in a manner that enhances positive professional relationships with hospital staff, patients, families, and other physicians.
- Role models the LRH culture and collaborates with the treatment team to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Demonstrates responsible use of LRH's resources including people, finances, equipment, and facilities.
- Keeps current with organizational and department policies and procedures.
- Behaves in a mindful manner focused on self, patient, visitor, and team safety.
- Demonstrates accountability and commitment to quality work and participates actively in process improvement and adoption of standard work.
- Ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team and develop clinical opportunities aligned with the hospital mission.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members.
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities for clinicians as assigned.
- Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) and accredited residency training.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible with completion of certification as delineated within Lakeland Regional Health Medical Staff Office Bylaws.
- Current Florida license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
