Visiting Assistant Professor – Chemistry
The Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at Florida Polytechnic University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry whose primary responsibility will be to deliver lectures and laboratory instruction for introductory chemistry courses. The position supports the upcoming Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences program beginning in fall 2026. Appointment will begin on August 10, 2026, and is for nine months paid over 12 months, with potential for reappointment.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver Chemistry 1 lectures and laboratory instruction to undergraduates in freshman and sophomore years.
- Assist in the broader educational mission of the university and contribute to curriculum development for introductory chemistry courses.
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, degree completed before the candidate’s starting date.
- Prior teaching experience and relevant research or industry experience.
- Participation in professional activities and organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with the broad campus community.
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
