Adjunct Faculty – Spanish Language
Join Florida Polytechnic University – Florida’s all‑STEM public university – as a part‑time adjunct instructor in Spanish Language. In this role, you will engage high‑achieving undergraduate math, science, and engineering majors in face‑to‑face classes in Beginning Spanish 1, Beginning Spanish 2, and/or special‑topics courses in Spanish. Through a communicative approach, you will help students build foundational proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, enabling them to navigate everyday situations and engage with Hispanic culture in both professional and social contexts.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver face‑to‑face courses.
- Apply a communicative teaching approach to build foundational Spanish proficiency.
- Engage STEM‑focused undergraduates in learning Spanish language skills.
- Experience delivering in‑class instruction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- University‑level teaching experience preferred.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution with at least 18 credit hours in Spanish or related discipline.
Starting salary will be commensurate with years of teaching or professional experience.
