Student Worker-Admissions Ambassador
This position is in the Admissions Department and supports the administrative and student recruiting operations.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Handle routine office functions including, but not limited to, answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing assistance as required; assist with completion of forms; basic data entry; file, copy and scan documents.
- Assist in performing campus tours for prospective students and their families.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of special events.
- Maintain current knowledge of all University rules, regulations, and procedures. Assist in dissemination of information about Florida Polytechnic University.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment.
- Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Skill in typing/word processing and use of personal computer/software, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Customer service skills and ability to work as member of a team important.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.25 and have successfully completed 9 credits or more in the most recent fall or spring semester with a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Preferred qualifications:
- Have a valid driver's license.

- This position requires a criminal background check.
- This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.
Expected starting salary: $14.25 hourly up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms as approved by supervisor.
