Job Summary
The Jannetides College of Business, Communication and Leadership invites applications for a full‑time professor of Graphic Design in the Communication, Art and Design department. The position is full‑time for a 12‑month academic year beginning August1,2026. Rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The role supports the Graphic Design program and requires teaching in traditional classroom, online, and hybrid delivery formats on our Lakeland campus.
An earned MFA in Graphic Design or a related field is required.
- Teach face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Serve on department and university committees.
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
- Perform additional duties and functions as assigned by the Chair or Dean.
- Support community and academic profession activities as needed.
Main Campus, Lakeland, FL 33801. On‑campus faculty position.
ScheduleMonday–Friday, 40hrs per week. Additional weekend hours may be required as needed.

Salary and RankCommensurate with experience.
Reports ToDean, Jannetides College of Business, Communication, and Leadership.
Supervisory ResponsibilityMay supervise some graduate assistants, teaching assistants, or other student employees.
Qualifications EducationRequired: Earned MFA in Graphic Design or a related field.
Preferred: Doctorate in Graphic Design or a related field.
ExperienceRequired: Teaching excellence in higher education; demonstrated graphic design experience; mastery of Adobe Creative Suite; practice in user experience (UX) design and research, including web design, app design, agile methodologies, and human‑centered design methods.
Preferred: 3years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of the English language, academic processes, clerical procedures, and computer operations.
- Critical thinking, reading comprehension, research, interpersonal skills, and mathematical skills.
Must be able to sit, stand, and operate a computer for extended periods of time.
