Manufacturing Engineer, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Our client is building a high-performing engineering team in Lakeland, Florida, and we’re looking for an Industrial Engineer who thrives on solving complex operational challenges and optimizing manufacturing and packaging processes.
This is an onsite opportunity to play a critical role in designing smarter, scalable systems that drive production reliability, increase throughput, and elevate operational excellence across our print and packaging environment.

What You’ll Do- Analyze end-to-end production workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve throughput and reduce waste.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured methodologies.
- Conduct time studies, workflow modeling, and simulation analyses to optimize line balancing, staffing strategies, and equipment utilization.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and performance dashboards.
- Partner with maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning to eliminate bottlenecks and quality issues.
- Evaluate automation technologies, equipment upgrades, and layout improvements to support long-term scalability.
- Leverage data analytics to forecast production needs, labor requirements, and resource planning.
- Champion safety and ergonomic design initiatives that improve team member wellbeing and reduce risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging, or high-volume production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
- Experience conducting time studies, workflow analysis, and performance modeling.
- Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar platforms.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and cross-functional influence.
