Summary
Nelpro Project Solutions is seeking an experienced Outage/Turnaround Project Scheduler for an immediate contract opportunity based in Lakeland, Florida. The preferred candidate will bring a combination of expert scheduling software skills and hands‑on field experience in chemical processing or power generation facilities.
Job DescriptionThe Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing critical path method (CPM) schedules for planned and forced outage/turnaround projects. Work will be performed in direct collaboration with client management teams throughout all project phases—planning, execution, and closeout. Assignments are project‑based (initially 2–3 months) with the potential for future opportunities on a contract‑to‑contract basis.
Responsibilities- Build, update, and manage detailed outage/turnaround project schedules
- Coordinate sequencing of work with client management, engineers, and contractors
- Track progress, analyze schedule impacts, and provide updates to stakeholders
- Conduct critical path analysis, resource planning, and prepare schedule reports
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (required)
- Scheduling experience in chemical manufacturing facilities (preferred)
- Power generation outage scheduling experience will also be considered
- 10+ years of experience in industrial sectors such as power generation, chemical processing, manufacturing, or facility maintenance (preferred)
- PMP certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Work environment will include both office settings and on‑site at client facilities
- Overtime may be required during execution phases
