Position SummaryThe Dual Licensed Water & Wastewater Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities across one or more plants. This role ensures systems are functioning efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems and equipment
- Monitor plant operations using flow meters, gauges, control panels, and PLC systems
- Troubleshoot operational issues and take corrective action in accordance with procedures
- Record operational data, observations, and conditions in daily logs
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks
- Conduct field laboratory testing (chemical and physical) to support process control
- Adjust chemical dosages to optimize treatment performance
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process variances
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Participate in on‑call rotation as required
- Class C or higher FDEP Water License and Class C or higher FDEP Wastewater Operator License (required)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening
- Previous experience with drinking water and wastewater treatment plants
- Route system experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Compensation is commensurate with experience and aligned with market rates.
