Job Title
This is an advanced technical and supervisory position managing the CADD/GIS functions of the Water Utilities Department.
Essential FunctionsThe responsibilities include maintaining the City's Water and Wastewater GIS and other Water Utilities modeling databases, drafting standards for Water Utilities Engineering, and advocating QA/QC systems changes or updates. This position supervises, mentors, and trains subordinates.
Qualifications (Education, Training and Experience)Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college in Engineering or a related field. Six years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies necessary for success in the target position may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesKnowledge of practices, procedures, standards, and methods used in office and engineering work in conjunction with water utilities system design or application. Ability to provide artist renderings of proposed structures and facilities, read, interpret, and prepare technical specifications and reports, and communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships.
