Cash Application Analyst, Accounts Receivable - Lakeland

The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate, complete and timely payment application for various receivable types of incoming payments from almost 5,000 tenants in SAP totaling $368M. Failing to apply these payments timely and accurately can lead to incorrect financial reporting, inaccurate invoicing, and potentially strain tenant relations. The responsibilities listed on this position analysis are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

• Ensuring accurate, complete, and timely cash application for Publix tenant incoming payments in SAP and other various receivable types
• Supporting internal and external customers as it relates to incoming tenant payments for accounts receivable including check and ACH payments that have inquiries from other business areas
• Monthly journal entries and debit memos
• Communicating with tenants regarding ACH payment set up and payment remittances

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience
• 3 years business experience
• Knowledge of Accounting principles and Accounts Receivable functions
• Ability to multi-task and handle large volumes of work at once
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle the pressure of deadlines.
• Exhibit professionalism and the ability to deal with confidential subject matter
• Basic knowledge of SAP and Internet Explorer
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Willingness to work a variable work week schedule, if necessary
• Must be self-motivated.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline
• 5 years business experience
• Knowledge of (Quality Improvement Process) QIP improvement methodology
• Knowledge of banking and ACH specifications, including NACHA Operating Rules surrounding ACH Payments
• Knowledge and understanding of Publix’s Customer Personal Information Protection (CPIP) policy
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.

In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
