Member Advocate (Universal Banker)The Member Advocate is responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality member service while promoting credit union products and services during everyday interactions. This role serves as the primary point of contact in the branch, focusing on transactional accuracy, member engagement, and sales contribution. This is an onsite position in Lakeland, Florida at our Harden Road branch.
What you will do- Core Focus Areas:
Sales & Product Promotion, Member Experience, Transaction Accuracy, and Relationship Building - Greet and assist members in person and via phone, creating a welcoming and engaging experience
- Process routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments with accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in conversations with members to understand needs and recommend appropriate products and services
- Promote credit union products and services in alignment with branch goals
- Educate members on basic products, services, and digital tools
- Maintain accurate and complete member records across systems
- Verify member identity and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Navigate multiple systems to complete transactions and support workflow demands
- Support branch performance goals by contributing to sales, service, and operational metrics
- Escalate more complex member needs to appropriate team member
- Open and maintain basic member accounts and support lending processes through basic loan application intake, building foundational knowledge of deposit and lending products while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize internal tools and leadership support to process account services and loan requests, developing the ability to independently handle both as proficiency increases.
- Commitment to an exceptional member experience
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 1-2 years of customer service, retail, or banking experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
