Financial Analyst, Financial Manager
Tampa Maid Foods is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to serve as the primary Finance Business Partner to our Sales and Commercial Leadership teams. This role will turn financial analysis into actionable recommendations that improve pricing, trade-spend effectiveness, customer profitability, forecasting, and gross margin. This position will manage one direct report and provide leadership, coaching, and development while ensuring accurate, timely commercial financial analysis and reporting.
This is more than a reporting role. We are looking for a strategic finance partner who can challenge assumptions, influence commercial decisions, and clearly communicate risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Sales Leadership and Key Account Managers on customer negotiations, business opportunities, annual planning, and forecasting.
- Lead the planning, tracking, and analysis of trade spend, promotional ROI, and incremental profitability.
- Support pricing strategy, price increases, cost-recovery initiatives, and price-realization analysis.
- Develop profitability models by customer, product, SKU, and channel.
- Evaluate customer contracts, new-business proposals, pricing decisions, and product-mix implications.
- Build customer-level revenue, volume, and gross-margin forecasts.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide executive-ready recommendations.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and FP&A.
- Lead, coach, and develop one direct report while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of progressive finance experience.
- Experience partnering directly with Sales or Commercial teams.
- Strong experience in financial modeling, forecasting, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar business-intelligence tool.
- Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.
- Previous people-management experience is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Experience with in consumer products, food manufacturing, distribution, or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
