Essential Functions
- Performs high quality echo cardiographic examinations as ordered obtaining all data necessary for diagnosis
- M-mode, Doppler studies, 2-D and Stress, bubble studies, contrast echoes, tissue doppler, and LA volume
- Correlates diagnosis to findings and investigates abnormalities
- Input study information and technical findings into Pro Solv accurately
- Properly maintains equipment and work areas
- Stocks supplies
- Compiles data and statistics
- Participate in weekly Echo Conference
- Makes copies of studies for conference and records release
- Keeps current on all trends and changes in the echo field
- Makes appointments in the absence of the Echo Secretary
Education and Experience
- Successful completion of an accredited Echocardiography program
- Previous experience with basic and cardiac ultrasound
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a medically related field is desired
- Must have credentials as either a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- CPR certification within 90 days of employment
Education and Experience
- Previous experience with vascular ultrasound
