LPN Specialist / Medical Assistant Specialist - Neurology - Full Time

The ideal candidate needs to be an LPN or a Medical Assistant. The role involves providing basic medical and nursing care, ensuring patient comfort, discussing health care with patients, and reporting patient status to registered nurses and providers.

• Identify and evaluate patient needs via telephone triage.
• Administer medication, including injections; document medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide instruction.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adhere to Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting patient medical records.
• Facilitate patient flow to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assist the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One (1) year of experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
