Job Summary
The Field Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that our team can complete their jobs safely and efficiently in the field. The role demands a high level of responsibility, responsiveness, proactivity, level-headedness, approachability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to integrity. This individual prioritizes the health and wellbeing of team members while also meeting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain current knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and ensure safe daily operations in the field.
- Inspect and assess job sites daily to identify hazards, risks, and potential safety issues.
- Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks as they arise in the field.
- Address all safety concerns by providing educated recommendations to ensure the safety of our team members.
- Request hazard correction from customers’ on‑site contractor personnel (as needed).
- Coach and train team members in the field on safe operations.
- Conduct various training sessions (New Hire Orientation, Annual Refreshers).
- Conduct interviews to obtain information regarding on‑the‑job incidents and accidents.
- Provide immediate on‑scene assistance and management in the event of an incident.
- Establish a strong working relationship with customers and on‑site personnel.
- Complete daily administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or another relevant field.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety (preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of work experience with responsibilities in EHS compliance (preferably in construction).
- Familiarity with industrial construction activities.
- Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑starter.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Ability to hold others accountable and coach effectively.
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Lakeland, FL.
- Daily travel to client worksites, mostly within Central Florida; 15% travel outside Florida but within the United States.
- The working environment can involve harsh elements (heat, humidity, cold, rain) and industrial hazards such as chemicals, heavy equipment, and other safety‑sensitive risks. Employees must remain alert and able to perform essential duties without risking harm to themselves or others.

- Talk/Hear: Communicate effectively and detect variations in pitch and loudness.
- Stand/Sit: Respond quickly to signals (sound, light, picture).
- Walk: Frequent walking within the production facility and field.
- Use Hands/Fingers: Frequently handle materials and objects. Quick hand/arm movements, precise coordinated finger movements.
- Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Crawl: Routine activities requiring arm/leg movement, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, occasional climbing. Bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, or legs.
- See: See details up close and at a distance, judge distances, detect differences in colors, shades, and brightness.
- Carry/Weight/Lift: Lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds; support body with abdominal/lower back muscles over time without fatigue.
- Exposure to Work: Considerable time spent in processing environments both in and outdoors; environments can be loud, dusty, hot, or cold.
