About the Role:Clinical Excellence in a Montessori Setting
Mi Escuela Montessori is seeking a Bilingual SLP to serve as a diagnostic leader and therapeutic expert for our PreK-8th grade community. This role is a "Clinical-Educational Hybrid," designed for a professional who thrives on the intersection of evidence-based therapy and the Montessori philosophy of "Follow the Child."
You will lead the diagnostic process for our dual-language learners, manage a caseload that blends Inclusion (Push-in) and Pull-out therapy, and serve as a cultural liaison for our Spanish-speaking families.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic Leadership:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for Spanish/English bilingual students using culturally responsive tools to distinguish between language difference and disorder.
Hybrid Service Model:
Provide targeted intervention through a mix of classroom-based support and specialized pull-out sessions.
Clinical Compliance:
Write child-centered IEPs and maintain documentation to Medicaid billing specifications .
Collaborative Screening:
Partner with Montessori Guides to provide interactive classroom screenings and demonstrations.
Family Partnership:
Lead IEP meetings and parent consultations in both English and Spanish.
Market-Leading Pay:
We pay on the 216-day salary scale for a 196-day work schedule , offering a premium daily rate compared to standard district roles.
Professional Credentialing: 100% reimbursement for annual ASHA dues and Florida State License fees .
Clinical Fellowship (CF) Support:
We are a supported CF site . For exceptional new graduates, the school will provide and fund the required ASHA-certified external supervision/mentorship.
Montessori Professional Path:
Sponsored Montessori Orientation training to bridge clinical therapy with the Montessori prepared environment.
Annual Clinical Stipend: A $750 annual professional development stipend for CEUs, specialized certifications, or conference registrations.
Protected Documentation Time:
Dedicated "Compliance Blocks" during the work week for Medicaid logging and evaluation reports.
Education:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Licensure:
Valid Florida SLP License (Department of Health) or Florida Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired.
Language:
Native or professional-grade bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
Clinical
Skills:
Experience writing IEPs and a strong understanding of Medicaid billing requirements.
ASHA Certification: CCC-SLP preferred (Clinical Fellows with strong bilingual backgrounds and a desire for Montessori integration are encouraged to apply).
