Your Impact
  • Developing and maintaining the enterprise AI platform roadmap aligned with Publix’s business objectives.
  • Evaluating emerging AI technologies and platforms for scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Establishing standards and best practices for AI platform adoption across the organization.
  • Designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure AI platform architecture.
  • Ensure integration with existing enterprise systems, data pipelines, and cloud environments.
  • Optimizing the AI Platform infrastructure for performance, cost‑efficiency, and high availability.
  • Producing architecture documentation and deliverables, including Architecture Plans, ADRs, proofs‑of‑concepts, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Providing leadership, knowledge, and experience to teams on the architecture, design, and delivery of cost‑effective and sustainable AI solutions.
  • Providing training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or an analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of recent experience leading the analysis of complex business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross‑system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
  • 5+ years of recent working experience as an Architect or technical lead on development projects.
  • 5+ years of recent experience working with multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments, including databases, operating systems, application servers, web servers, messaging and message brokers, web services, workflow, security, and portals.
  • 1+ years of experience leading AI/ML platform initiatives (LLM platforms, MLOps, etc.).
  • 1+ years of experience in designing, developing, and scaling AI‑based solutions (such as RAG, Agentic Workflows, model routing, fine‑tuning).
  • 1+ years of experience in at least one of the major AI platforms (such as OpenAI, Microsoft, AWS, or Google).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and experience with LLM tool chains and frameworks such as Lang Chain, Llama Index, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Azure/Gemini agent development frameworks.
  • Knowledge and experience with vector databases, and embedding/model selection.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with prompt engineering, evaluation, and guardrails for AI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with API technologies such as REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, and API first development.
  • Knowledge and experience in containerizing applications and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge and experience working with No

    SQL databases such as Mongo

    DB or Casandra.
  • Knowledge and experience developing and deploying cloud solutions in Azure, GCP or AWS.
  • Knowledge and experience with data streaming (Kafka), batch (Spark), data lake, and ETL/ELT platforms.

Year End Bonus

As a year‑end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro‑rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
