Position Overview:
The Sales Enablement Specialist plays a critical role in equipping the sales team with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to perform at their best. This position is responsible for driving adoption of systems, processes, and new functionality through targeted training development, clear documentation, and hands‑on support. This role is integral to maintaining our competitive edge and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Position the customer‑focused sales team for success by developing and maintaining deep CRM/ERP system knowledge, supporting system and process changes, and serving as a primary resource for tools, guidance, and adoption.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the sales team on CRM/SAP and related ERP tools, providing day‑to‑day guidance on system navigation, processes, and best practices.
- Support the sales team during system upgrades, new technology rollouts, and process changes by communicating updates, facilitating readiness activities, and serving as a go‑to point of contact.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement leadership to align on priorities, upcoming initiatives, and evolving sales team needs, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Assist the sales team with system and process questions during major program rollouts, including eCommerce, CRM/SAP enhancements, customer data projects, and other strategic initiatives.
Drive Training and Development Initiatives
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs while maintaining up‑to‑date documentation to support ongoing learning.
- Develop and deliver role‑specific training programs covering commercial processes, SAP workflows, and system functionality, ensuring the sales team has the knowledge and skills to perform effectively.
- Support onboarding of new sales team members by providing SAP and CRM system orientation, process walkthroughs, and access to training resources.
- Partner with Learning and Development as the Sales Enablement Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with team needs.
- Create and maintain clear, well‑structured documentation, including job aids, quick reference guides, and process materials.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement Leadership and Learning and Development to update training content in response to new technology releases, process changes, and evolving needs.
- Work with Learning and Development to determine the most effective delivery methods, including virtual, in‑person, on‑demand, and blended learning formats.
Drive Adoption and Change Management
- Guide adoption of new systems, processes, and tools by tracking engagement and providing targeted support.
- Monitor adoption of new technologies and processes, identifying gaps and delivering coaching, reinforcement, or additional training to support sustained behavior change.
- Gather feedback from sales team members to identify process pain points and share insights with Sales Enablement and Marketing leadership to support continuous improvement.
Foster Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing Leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment in goals, strategies, and overall sales team experience.
- Act as a liaison between sales team members and internal departments, facilitating communication and a coordinated approach to addressing needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process.
Expected Skills and
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of business experience in a sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
