Join the Publix Transportation Systems Development Team as a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer. The role plans, coordinates, and executes testing of applications that support Transportation systems. Responsibilities include analyzing acceptance criteria to create test plans and automated testing frameworks for UI, unit, and integration testing.

Your Impact
  • Lead software and product testing for Transportation Systems
  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes and testing strategies
  • Mentor QA Engineers in best practices and automated test frameworks
  • Ensure QA activities are performed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in requirements and design meetings to estimate testing efforts
  • Develop detailed test plans and translate documentation into test scenarios
  • Create and manage test cases, sets, and scripts using Azure Dev Ops
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests
  • Prepare test data and execute manual and automated test scripts
  • Track defects and facilitate problem resolution
  • Operate in an agile environment with frequent code releases
  • Participate in application validation for production support
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance for backend, platform, or workflow-based systems
  • 4+ years of experience designing and executing test automation strategies for C# applications, including development of automated test frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium or Rest Sharp
  • 4+ years of experience creating and executing manual and automated test cases across APIs, services, and enterprise applications
  • 3+ years of experience using Azure Dev Ops (or similar tools) for test case management, defect tracking, and CI/CD integration
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring or leading QA engineers
  • Solid experience validating API-driven systems and distributed workflows
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product owners to translate business risk into testable criteria
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with .NET-based test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit) and/or Python-based testing frameworks
  • Experience validating RESTful APIs and JSON payloads using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or automation libraries
  • Exposure to testing AI-enabled systems (e.g., LLM-powered workflows, OCR, classification, anomaly detection), even at an integration level
  • Experience integrating automated tests into Azure Dev Ops Pipelines and CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and observability concepts for validating system health and reliability
  • Familiarity with working in regulated or high-reliability environments (finance, healthcare, etc.)
