** JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
** The Web Developer serves as the primary technical lead for Florida Polytechnic University’s web presence and is responsible for developing, maintaining, optimizing, and continually enhancing the University’s websites and digital platforms. As part of the Strategic Communications team, this position collaborates closely with marketing, communications, admissions, academic departments, and campus stakeholders to create responsive, user-friendly, and brand-consistent web experiences that support the University’s strategic goals.
This role manages the day-to-day operation of the University’s Word Press content management system, including user permissions, content governance, functionality enhancements, troubleshooting, accessibility compliance, analytics integration, search engine optimization, and third-party system integrations. The Web Developer is also responsible for implementing website content updates and ensuring the University’s digital presence remains modern, innovative, and aligned with leading trends, technologies, and best practices in higher education web development.
Working closely with the Information Technology team, this position helps maintain the performance, security, reliability, and usability of the University’s web environment while supporting a fast-paced and evolving digital ecosystem.###

**** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Serve as the University’s sole web developer responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of Florida Polytechnic University’s multiple websites and digital platforms.
* Create and implement new website layouts, landing pages, templates, and user experiences utilizing Elementor within the Word Press content management system.
* Manage the day-to-day administration of the University’s Word Press environment, including user permissions, workflows, plugin management, content governance, and system functionality.
* Manage and maintain the University’s centralized web calendar system, including integrations with departmental and campus calendars to support a unified University-wide events calendar experience.
* Coordinate with campus departments and stakeholders to ensure calendar events, feeds, and event information are accurate, consistent, and properly integrated across University digital platforms.
