The Accounting Automation & AI Team is a newly formed team focused on automating complex business processes and applying AI to reduce repetitive tasks that require cognitive reasoning. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will drive the design and delivery of scalable, cloud native systems that enable intelligent automation across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and cross functional partners to architect and implement modern automation solutions, including AI integrated and human in the loop systems.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership, guide engineering best practices, and mentor team members while ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned to business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a passion for building high quality systems, and the ability to lead and influence across complex, AI driven initiatives.

Your Impact

* Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade technology solutions with a focus on system performance, cross-system interdependence, stability, scalability, and usability

* Provide technical leadership across initiatives, including mentoring engineers, setting engineering standards, and driving best practices

* Utilize modern development methodologies with a cloud-first approach, incorporating CI/CD pipelines through Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, or similar tools

* Lead design and development meetings, facilitating solution discussions and aligning teams using Agile and traditional methodologies

* Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solution designs

* Review and approve technical designs, code, and implementation approaches to ensure quality, consistency, and long-term maintainability

* Create, oversee, and continuously improve comprehensive documentation for technical design, system specifications, and desired test outcomes

* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including architecture, product, and business stakeholders

* Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for assigned applications and automation workflows

* Participate in an on-call rotation for production support

* Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience

* 7+ years of software engineering experience with one or more development frameworks (e.g., .NET, C#, Python, or ASP.NET Core)

* Strong experience in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and using API documentation tools

* Strong experience building and supporting workflow automation, backend integrations, and distributed systems

* Strong experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud native applications and architectures

* Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern Dev Ops practices

* Experience building responsive web applications using modern web technologies such as Type Script and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Blazor)

* Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server and development tools such as Visual Studio

* Strong proficiency in version control workflows and collaborative development practices

* Experience leading technical efforts within Agile/Scrum teams
