Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary

Sam's Club in Lakeland, FL is looking for a Warehouse Associate to handle inventory, forklift operations, member service, and merchandising duties while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying them in business processes.
• Operate forklifts safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets in accordance with company standards.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using data, resources, and collaboration with managers, coworkers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to change.
• Receive, organize, and manage stock shipments from distribution centers and suppliers; maintain inventory flow, correct shelf capacities, and complete required paperwork logs.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance on self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation: zone areas, stock and rotate merchandise, remove damaged goods, set up clean displays, maintain modular integrity, and ensure prominent display of promotional and seasonal items.
• Verify club pick‑up orders, assist with picking and staging, ensure compliance with policies, and perform audits for accuracy.
• Handle inventory operations: move and display goods safely, track inventory, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage, report issues, and use inventory tools.
• Operate and maintain forklifts safely, report unsafe conditions, and inform management when equipment is out of order.
• Identify customers in need of technology assistance, engage and support them, model technology services, identify shrink opportunities, maintain equipment, and resolve problems promptly.

• At least 90 days of experience with forklift operation and forklift certification.
• Ability to safely use pallet jacks.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
