International Logistics Coordinator:Red Eagle International 2 Lakeland, FL (On-site)
Salary: $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience
About the Role: Red Eagle International, an agricultural chemical manufacturer and importer, is seeking an International Logistics Coordinator to track inbound ocean shipments from origin through final delivery. Sourcing products from overseas, this role keeps containers visible at every stage d across ocean, rail, and into the warehouse acting quickly to retrieve containers within free time and prevent demurrage.
Responsibilities- Track inbound containers from origin ports through U.S. port of discharge, intermodal rail, and final delivery
- Monitor freight forwarder ETA reports as an early-warning system to anticipate container arrivals
- Act on Last Free Day (LFD) notices immediately to retrieve containers within free time and prevent demurrage and storage fees
- Dispatch and coordinate truckers/drayage providers, including pickup appointments and container depot returns
- Maintain the container tracking log as the single source of truth, updating status same-day
- Coordinate with the customs broker on clearance timing and customs holds
- Reconcile and dispute demurrage invoices against tracking records, gathering supporting documentation and filing within carrier deadlines
- Escalate at-risk shipments to the Operations Manager per defined time frames
- 2+ years in international logistics, import operations, or container/freight tracking
- Working knowledge of ocean freight, Incoterms (FOB), demurrage/detention, and U.S. customs/CBP processes
- Familiarity with intermodal/rail and drayage coordination
- Comfort working under time pressure with hard deadlines (LFD windows)
- Strong Excel skills for tracking logs and reconciliation
- Sharp attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Experience with ag-chem, chemical, or other regulated imports a plus
