Position Summary

Manager Logistics and Receiving Operations is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the department. Plans, directs, organizes and oversees daily operations of Receiving Services. Ensures materials and items are conveyed from receiving areas to clinical storerooms or other storage designated areas in a timely, safe manner.

Manager - Logistics and Receiving Operations
  • Coordinates the work activities and schedules of Receiving staffing. Hires, retains, develops and promotes talented people. Maintains approved staffing levels. Responsibilities includes performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching employees. Manages and supports conflict/issues resolution implementing appropriate corrective actions, improvement plans and regular performance evaluations. Collaborates with other leaders to leverage human resources.
  • Coordinates conveyance of materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other clinical designated areas;
    Works with Design and Construction, Clinical Engineering, IT and other departments on equipment that must be stored or transported in conjunction with storage capacities to ensure proper handling.
