Machinist

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document production activities and report issues to leadership.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Preferred:
  • Technical certification in machining or related field.
  • CNC programming or setup experience.
