Operations Manager

Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day production operations in a quality-focused manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for production planning, inventory management, fabrication and assembly operations, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement while leading a team in a hands‑on manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and continuously improve daily fabrication and assembly operations to meet changing production demands
- Manage production planning, production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure on‑time order fulfillment
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, manual manufacturing, and production workflows while maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Optimize utilization of manufacturing equipment including large-format printers, vinyl plotters, screen printing equipment, inkjet printing systems, and manual assembly tables
- Lead supervisors, production leads, drivers, and manufacturing personnel across daily operations
- Develop and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, improve material utilization, and enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor production KPIs, inventory metrics, quality metrics, and operational performance to identify and resolve production issues
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and workforce development for production employees
- Reduce overtime, investigate inventory discrepancies, improve inventory accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, quality standards, and company safety procedures
- Develop and improve operating procedures, production processes, inventory controls, and manufacturing systems
- Manage budgeting, P&L activities, scheduling, invoicing, crediting, and operational financial performance
- Oversee company drivers, delivery trucks, outbound deliveries, inbound returns, transportation scheduling, and logistics throughout Florida
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, material movement, and logistics activities to support manufacturing operations
- Manage inventory using ERP and MRP systems, ensuring accurate inventory transactions, material planning, inventory control, and material flow involving both new and refurbished components
- Maintain an active presence on the production floor while supporting operational planning and administrative responsibilities
- 4+ years of experience as an Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager, or similar leadership role within a hands‑on fabrication or assembly manufacturing environment
- Experience managing manual manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, industrial production, or non-automated manufacturing operations
- Experience leading inventory management, inventory control, production planning, production scheduling, material planning, and logistics operations
- Experience utilizing ERP systems and MRP systems for inventory management, production scheduling, and operational planning
- Experience managing operational finance including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, P&L oversight, invoicing, and crediting
- Experience working with fabrication equipment, large-format printers, vinyl plotters, inkjet printing systems, screen printing equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment
- Experience implementing process improvement, Lean manufacturing principles, waste reduction, continuous improvement, and productivity initiatives
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, manufacturing safety, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems
- Experience troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, inventory variances, receiving issues, and material utilization
- Experience leading production teams consisting of supervisors, leads, and manufacturing personnel
- Experience working in industrial manufacturing environments with exposure to equipment noise, outdoor conditions, and production operations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work safely around manufacturing equipment and elevated work areas
- Base salary in the 95k - 125k/year range
- Schedule:
Onsite, Monday
- Friday, 6 AM - 4 PM to start (eventually moving to 7AM - 4 PM) - Benefits:
