Job Summary:
The Development Director will play a crucial role in securing the financial sustainability of Emgage. This position involves developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing donor relations, securing grants, and coordinating fundraising events. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Director of Operations and Growth, and the communications team to increase the organization’s visibility and financial resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes individual donors, corporate sponsor ships, and foundation grants.Grant Management: Identify grant opportunities, prepare grant applications, and manage grant reporting and compliance.Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors while identifying and engaging potential new donors.Event Coordination: Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, including online campaigns, to meet revenue targets.Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on fundraising progress against targets. Analyze trends and adjust strategies as needed to maximize fundraising results.Collaboration: Work closely with the communications team to align fundraising messages with the organization’s branding and goals.Compliance: In collaboration with our in-house counsel, ensure all fundraising activities comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or development work, preferably in a non-profit organization.Demonstrated success in securing grants and managing donor relations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Deep commitment to Emgage’s mission and values.Desired
Skills:
Knowledge of the Muslim American community and the issues affecting it. Experience with CRM databases and fundraising software.Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including community members, donors, and volunteers.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.How to Apply:
