APRN/PA - Urgent Care (South) - Lakeland, FL

Full Time, URGENT CARE Nurse Practitioner to work at our Urgent Care South Location with extraordinary colleagues who share your dedication to medical excellence!

Our Urgent Care in South Lakeland is seeking a salaried (with bonus structure), full-time APRN to join the practice. Our Urgent Care is high volume and is open Monday through Sunday from 8:00am - 6:00pm. Work hours may vary, and you will rotate weekdays and weekends. 2 weekend shifts are required.

• Providing comprehensive healthcare to patients, including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice
• Accurately performs a history and physical examinations
• Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate
• Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures
• Completes necessary documentation promptly
• Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician
• Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status
• Documents examination results & records progress notes and provides continuity of care.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER, or a very advanced Urgent Care is required. A minimum of 4-5 years of work as an APRN in ER, ICU or advanced Medical Surgery is preferred.

Experience with incision and drainage, laceration/suturing, workers comp injuries, splinting, casting, joint injections, pediatrics minor injury, working with ages 2 and up.

• BLS certification is required.
• APRN/PA board certification is required.
• Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.
