Urgent RN/LPN Home Care Opening – Haines City, FL

Family First Home Care is hiring experienced RNs and LPNs for an urgent pediatric home care case in the Haines City area.

Available Shifts
  • Saturday and Sunday Days | 7:00AM – 7:00PM
  • Monday–Sunday Nights | 7:00PM – 7:00AM

Sign‑On Bonus
  • $300 sign‑on bonus
  • $150 after the first 120 hours worked
  • $150 after the next 120 hours worked

Eligible nurses must commit to ongoing staffing needs for this case. Bonus applies to nurses who accept and work the available shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care based on licensure/certification within scope of practice.
  • Maintain updated clinical records on each patient at all times, meeting documentation deadlines.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of nursing service to the patient and family on an ongoing basis.
  • Consult with physicians concerning alterations of patient care plans and document changes.
  • Report all changes in care to the nurse supervisor.
  • Mentor and coach new employees during patient‑specific orientations.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on topics related to patient care needs.
  • Participate in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QAPI) program as requested.
  • Continuously strive to improve nursing care skills.
  • Attend and complete all mandatory training and in‑services as assigned.
  • Submit required personnel file documentation timely.
  • Adhere to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations.
  • Maintain patient and family confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Role Qualifications
  • LPN/LVN nursing degree.
  • Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in state of employment or multi‑state license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience.
  • Valid driver license with proof of insurance in applicable states.
  • Clear background screening.
  • Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts.
  • Valid and current CPR card/certificate with in‑person instructor‑led hands‑on skills check.
  • Clear Hep B screening in applicable states.
  • Clear TB screening in applicable states.
  • State‑specific requirements – Florida: valid driver license with proof of insurance not required;
    Hep B screening completed as part of onboarding. Pennsylvania: additional background screening for child abuse and FBI check; TB screening with 2‑step PPD or proof of 2‑step PPD administration within the last year. Texas: not applicable.
Working Conditions & Equipment Use

Work is performed in the patient’s home. Training may be performed in an office setting. Must be able to lift up to thirty‑five pounds without an assisted lifting device. Frequent use of office machines, including telephone, computer, and printer.
