CNA (Nursing Assistant) PRN

Job Objective / Summary

The responsibility of a Certified Nursing Assistant is to provide basic resident care under the direction of nursing staff. This role also performs duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, moving residents, or changing linens.

Essential Functions
  • Answer residents’ call lights.
  • Turn or reposition residents.
  • Provide physical support to assist residents to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing or walking.
  • Review residents’ dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure resident receives appropriate diet.
  • Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to nursing staff.
  • Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate, as directed by nursing staff.
  • Observe or examine resident to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine.
  • Document or otherwise report observations of resident behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nursing staff.
  • Remind resident to take medications or nutritional supplements.

Requirements
  • Must successfully pass the mandated criminal background checks. ()
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass the pre‑employment reference checks.
  • Must be able to provide official grade transcripts of the education level provided on the employment application.
  • Must be able to provide a copy of his/her own social security card for W-4 documentation.
