  • Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
  • Assists Physician or PA with medical office procedures.
  • Administers medications, including injections, documents meds given or prescribed by ordering provider as required by specialty.
  • Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting in patient’s record.
  • Attends support staff and department meetings to keep informed of employee issues and concerns as well as organizational updates.
  • Maintains confidentiality of clinic materials.
  • Provides and reinforces patient instruction and education as indicated.
  • Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures.
  • Prepares for daily business. Maintains charts, prepares new charts and keeps information current. Helps record and obtains results for cultures, lab tests, and radiology results per office protocol.
  • Maintains the integrity of the office.
  • Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures.
  • Schedules x-rays, lab tests, process referrals, admissions to hospital.
  • Attends staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.

Requirements Medical Assistant Specialist Ii Requirements
Required

Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. CPR certification. ACLS & PALS required within first 90 days of employment. IV certification required within 90 days of employment.
Preferred

Education and Experience:

Preferred two (2) years of experience in ER, critical care, urgent care, or Hospital setting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
