Pay Rate and Commission

US $14.00 to US $17.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.14 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The position works with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Successful candidates will receive an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport to better provide and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items per established procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using clear communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with people and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission, based on the gross profit of personal performance. Further details are provided during the interview process.
