Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate

We are looking for the right person to join our team! Hourly pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on sales, averaging an additional $1.74 per hour on top of the base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Associates work with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with established procedures.
• Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates respectfully with coworkers and managers, using effective tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, stoop, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift for extended periods, in compliance with federal, state, and local law.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Employees may be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission, based on gross profit from personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
