Location:
Lakeland, FL
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Operations- Open and close the store in absence of management, including system start‑ups, cash handling and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for business.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe and provide change to cash registers.
- Hold and securely guard store keys for opening and closing duties.
- Coach teammates on vendor ordering and back‑door delivery processes.
- Accurately register all sales, scan errors, price verifications, voids and handle any price changes.
- Assist with order exceptions, reverse logistics and inventory displays.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and oversee basic department pricing and signage.
- Assist with bookkeeping including cash reports, counts, ledgers and bill payments.
- Ensure store cleanliness, orderly appearance and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with food item separation, stock rotation and ensuring first‑in, first‑out compliance.
- Use store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Support pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as delegated.
- Engage customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to deliver a positive experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including courteous habits and Walgreens service traits.
- Attend training and complete required PPLs requested by the manager.
- Act as liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
