• Garda World Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer.

• Maintain a commanding presence to deter potential threats (e.g., active shooters and workplace violence).
• Respond to active shooter situations, hostage scenarios, bomb threats, etc.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for police, fire, and EMS during incidents.
• Maintain excellent marksmanship and weapon handling and retention skills with regular live-fire training and qualifications, including live drill tactical scenario training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handgun operation and the ability to disassemble and reassemble a firearm.
• Demonstrate Situational Awareness, High Integrity, Physical Fitness, and Excellent Communication.
• Provide excellent customer service while remaining vigilant and approachable with visitors, clients, and executives; maintain awareness of entrances and surroundings.
• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at the assigned location; provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports; enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards as appropriate.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity; verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents; check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken; conduct on-site checks and respond to alarms.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

• Schedule:
  
  36 hours per week with open availability required for weekdays and weekends; mornings or evenings; days off may vary; schedule based on site needs with flexibility for trainings and events.
• Pay rate: $33.60/hour. Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees.

• Proper jurisdictional licensing to be an armed security professional, with the ability to carry a firearm covertly.
• Proficiency in firearms, specifically the semi-automatic pistol platform.
• Documented firearms range score of 90% or higher on a 50-round course of fire using the semi-automatic pistol platform.
• Documented completion of judgmental use of force instructional course within the past 2 years.
• Training in verbal de-escalation tactics and proficiency in verbal communication.
• Excellent physical fitness and professional grooming characteristics.
• Ability to multitask and synthesize large amounts of information quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active Armed Security license with handgun endorsement.
• Ability to pass extensive background checks, online armed assessments, gun range assessments, drug and physical assessments, and other trainings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Soft skills to manage various personalities.
• Ability to pass baseline trainings, yearly refreshers, and psychological exams.
• This is a Driving Post; must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

• Per contractual agreements with clients, the professional background must include the minimum items listed to be hired (high school diploma or equivalent; some college or professional degree preferred; ability to pass extensive background screening and drug tests; at least 21 years of age or older as required by law).
