** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, with awareness of varied working environments and conditions.

+ Help to monitor access to designated areas, check for unusual activity, and report maintenance, environmental, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.

+ Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, visitor questions, and de-escalation of tense situations while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Meet hospital vaccine requirements.

+ Work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.

+ Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
