Responsibilitiesand Qualifications
Field Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment on‑site while providing technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction. Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel/gasoline engine issues, including engine overhauls, transmission replacements, and hydraulic system rebuilds.
- Preventative Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance such as fluid analysis, filter changes, inspections, and adjustments to prevent breakdowns. - Diagnostics:
Use diagnostic software (e.g., CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Case) to read fault codes and interpret live data from electronic control modules. - Electrical & Hydraulic Systems:
Troubleshoot wiring harnesses, sensors, controllers, and complex hydraulic systems to restore proper pressure and flow. Ensure equipment operates reliably and safely by performing on‑site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, while delivering excellent customer service and adhering to safety and quality standards. - Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with diesel, gasoline, and industrial equipment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in varied field conditions.
