Role Description

The Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lakeland, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing various welding tasks, reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings, and selecting appropriate materials and welding methods for each job. The Welder will prepare surfaces, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure welds meet safety, structural, and quality standards. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition and following all company and regulatory safety practices on job sites and in the shop.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Welding skills, including experience with Arc Welding.
  • Candidates should possess TIG Welding skills and familiarity with precision welding techniques.
  • Candidates should possess MIG Welding skills and the ability to work efficiently on structural and sheet metal components.
  • Experience in commercial or related construction trades is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including use of PPE and adherence to OSHA or similar standards.
  • Physical ability to work in shop environments, including lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Relevant certifications in welding or metal fabrication are a plus.
  • Reliable attendance, strong teamwork, and clear communication skills are expected.
