2nd shift; 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician position will require electrical troubleshooting skills as well as an experienced mechanical aptitude. We are seeking qualified candidates with five years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation, PLC knowledge, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Control wiring installations
  • Troubleshooting to the component level
  • PLC understanding and troubleshooting skills (not programming)
  • Anchoring equipment
  • Running conduit
  • Pulling wire
  • Termination of conductors
  • Maintenance and rebuilding of equipment
  • Conveyor systems
  • Robotics
  • Other routine maintenance duties
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • 5 years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation and preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment (preferred)
  • Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading (preferred)
  • Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Use basic electrical test instruments including VOM, multimeter and clamp‑on ammeter
  • Troubleshoot sensors, photo-eyes and their relation to PLC operation
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves
  • Maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels
