Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician who is ready to join our team in Lakeland, FL. The position offers flexible shifts between 6am to 4pm or 5am-2pm, depending on your preference.

• Change lights, grease chains, and replace outlets and fan motors.
• Perform greasing on forklifts and hang new fans.
• Install new light bulbs and replace AC filters.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (excluding electrical PM).
• Be open to learning new skillsets and maintenance duties under supervision.
• Perform basic wiring for new lights or overhead fans if needed.
• Install new signs on campus and maintain eyewash stands.

• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, troubleshooting, plumbing, hydraulics, industrial maintenance, and painting.
• Ability to work with motors, electrical maintenance, building maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
• Capability to perform warehouse duties.

• Experience in industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Willingness to learn machine maintenance and new electrical skillsets.
• Skills in pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, repair, machine repair, drywall, HVAC, wiring, carpentry, facility maintenance, maintenance repair, power tools, mechanical aptitude, and blueprint reading.
• Good tenure and prior facility maintenance experience.
• Light electrical skills are beneficial.

You will work in a non-climate controlled, shop-based environment with no contract work. The role offers consistent first-shift hours between 8 to 10 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
