Position Overview Handrail Installer | $28–$32/Hour + Full Benefits

, is looking for an experienced Handrail Installer to join our growing team in Lakeland.

If you have a background in handrail installation, trim carpentry, or finish carpentry and enjoy detailed, hands-on work, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work on custom, high-end staircase and handrail projects.

We work with professional builders and developers to design, build, and install premium stair and handrail systems—and we’re looking for people who take pride in doing quality work.

As a Handrail Installer, you’ll be responsible for installing and completing custom handrail systems while maintaining Southern Staircase quality and safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing custom and high-end handrail systems
• Working with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, glass, and cable
• Following installation standards and applicable local building codes
• Coordinating parts, materials, and deliveries to job sites
• Communicating with project managers regarding job progress and timelines
• Keeping job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Delivering quality workmanship and maintaining a professional customer experience

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience and strong attention to detail.

Required/Preferred Experience &

Skills:

• Experience with handrail installation, trim carpentry, or finish carpentry
• Strong woodworking and construction skills
• Ability to accurately measure and apply basic geometry
• Comfortable working with different materials and tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Comfortable working in different weather and job-site conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

This is a high-travel position (75%+). You’ll have the opportunity to work on different projects and job sites while building experience with custom staircase and handrail systems.
