The Driver Line Haul is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our clients. This role requires a high level of professionalism, customer service, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those set by the FMCSA.

What you will be doing:
- Operate and drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with all DOT regulations
- Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.
- Other duties as required and assigned
- Supports GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality , Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability
Requirements
- Must be at least 21-year-old and have a valid state driver’s license
- Class A candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Must have successfully completed a driver’s road test and have been issued a certificate of driver’s road test or possess a valid commercial driver’s license.
- Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
- Must have a valid operator’s license for the type of vehicle which they are assigned to drive.
- Meet the driver qualification requirements as required by FMCSA or state statute
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
